The first session is largely a "get acquainted" session. There are some forms to fill out and we take time to get to know you and your situation. We talk about the health issue with which you would like our hypnotherapeutic support. A large amount of time is spent explaining hypnotherapy and how it works. We talk about a model of your mind that makes sense and is easy to understand. Usually, during the first hypnotherapy session, we give hypnotherapeutic suggestion to support your healing. Most sessions last around 1.5 hours.

We work as an adjunct to your medical doctor's treatment. This means that we need your medical doctor's approval to work with you. This can be accomplished in a number of ways:

• We have a form which your doctor can fill out, sign, and fax to us. We will gladly talk to your doctor about this.
• You can sign a statement listing your doctor's name, address, and phone number, and stating that you have received his or her permission to use medical support hypnotherapy for the issue we will be working on.

You may ask why a doctor's presciption is required. Suppose, for example, some one comes to us with severe headaches and we help that client remove the headaches with hypnosis without a doctor's approval. But suppose those headaches were a symptom of a rapidly growing brain tumor. Now the client has a rapidly growing brain tumor with No Symptoms! This puts the client in a very dangerous position! So, to reiterate, we do not practice medicine and we work as an adjunct to your medical doctor's care. Please call us if you would like to discuss this further.

While it is impossible to predict how many sessions you will need to resolve your concern, many issues can be completely resolved in 3 to 6 sessions. We do offer the purchase of sessions in block of 3 or 6 at a discounted fee.

We do not accept insurance. However, we will provide you proper documentation to submit with any claims you may make to your insurance company.
